Weekly Newsletter

There was no 1st team game this week.

The 2nds lost a tight game 16-5 to Chingford 2nds at home. The Welwyn try was scored by Danny Howell.

The 3rds had a good away win over Upper Clapton 17-12 in the Green King League and the 4ths won 19-10 away to Hatfield in a friendly.

Good to see a busy day at the club on Saturday for the 3 Internationals. Even England won! There seemed to be a number of our Welsh Contingent celebrating on Saturday so I better offer them our congratulations.

There was no Mini/Junior or Colts Rugby on Sunday, the overnight and morning rain put paid to that.

Easter Weekend this week but the bar will still be open on Saturday and Sunday. Friendliest Bar Team in the Club on this week.

Please don't forget to put the following dates in your diary as it would be great to give the Lads your support in their battle against relegation, Maps are on the Fixture page and we are sure that your support will be greatly appreciated by all:

29th March - Away to Thurrock RFC.
This is a big game for the 1sts and could massively affect whether we stay up or not.

12th April - Home to Bury St. Edmonds.
Same day as the VP's Lunch so assured of good support. For those not attending the lunch we would still love to see you at the game supporting the club.

19th April, 2008 - Away to Ruislip
May be in a position (although hopefully not!) to have to win this game to stay up - please try and get to Ruislip if you can.

We hope to be able to extend this weekly "newsletter" but that will depend upon information received from all members of the club, we encourage you to donate accordingly

FINALLY PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE DINNER AND DANCE THAT IS BEING HELD AT THE CLUB ON THE 17TH MAY. TICKETS ARE VERY REASONABLY PRICED AT £37.50. PLEASE SEE JANE PETERKIN, CATH SWINDELL OR BOB SWINDELL FOR TICKETS.
